3 Days of Eastern Palace Inspiration – Day 2, Enjoy Today!

Welcome to Day 2 of ‘3 Days of Eastern Palace Inspiration’, a suite available as a special early release from the Stampin’ Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I have fallen in love with this Suite of products, my favorite color is blue so Dapper Denim is high on my list of favs.  The colors of Fresh Fig, Dapper Denim and Lemon-Lime Twist are fabulous, the gold is shinning beauty, the stamp fonts are gorgeous and the dies are so very versatile.  I will be using this suite of products a lot, as the collection of products makes it easy to make a creations that is sure to wow the recipient. The picture below shows a nice view of the items that are part of the Eastern Palace Suite.

For Day 2, I am featuring a versatile, Enjoy Today Card that could be used for any special occasion such as a birthday, graduation, or milestone, the possibilities are close to endless.

The Card Details are as follows (this uses several of the same steps, materials and supplies as yesterday’s card):

• Card Base is Dapper Denim Cardstock cut to 4.25 in x 11 in and scored / folded at 5.5 in to create a standard A2 sized card that fits beautifully in the Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes (included as a Free Item in the Premier Bundle).
• I placed these dies  (the right nestled inside the left) staggered on the card base and zipped it through the Big Shot, twice to get both cut-outs.  I then placed a piece of Designer Series Paper behind the negative space left from the die cuts (same as yesterday’s card).
• I cut a piece of the Gold Foil  to a 1/2 in x 2 1/4 in strip and punched it out with the Best Badge Punch to create the flagged end nestled behind the focal point and also the small accent in the top left corner of the card.
• I ran another piece of Gold Foil cut to a 3 in x 3 in square through the Big Shot, again using these dies  (the right nestled inside the left). I also used the Layering Circle Framelits Dies to cut the three pieces adhered to the top. I stamped the Enjoy Today sentiment on the Gold Foil Circle using Memento Ink.
• The card was finished off with Gold Vinyl Stickers, Metallic Sequin Assortment, Dapper Denim Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim.
• I added strips of DSP and Gold Foil to the Very Vanilla Envelop to step-it-up and coordinate with the card.

Here is the same card, but it looks very different!  I took this picture with a white background and it makes the color look a deeper blue green!  These photos make the gold shimmer a bit better, it even slightly reflects onto the Very Vanilla Envelope below it.
