Country Home Happy Card & 10% Off Coming Soon!

My 2nd to last card to share with you from my craft retreat back in October! Country Home has by far been one of my favorite stamp sets. I have always been a fan of rustic and country themed decor, so this set speaks to me on so many levels. I decided I needed to try a purple, I don’t use enough purple!

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
- Cut a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4. Smooch with Gorgeous Grape Classic Ink. (You can view my smooching tutorial here.)
- Cut two piece of Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Ruffled Ribbon to 3 3/4 inch long. Criss-cross and staple to the Shimmery White Cardstock.
- Sponge the white side of a Chicken Wire Element with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Cut down to approx, 4 x 4.
- Stamp the images in Jet Black Stazōn Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Color with an Aqua Painter and the following Classic Ink Colors: Smoky Slate, Lemon Lime Twist, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Suede. Snip with Paper Snips. Aderer the Chicken Wire Element to the back side with Snail Adhesive. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock that has been rubbed with an Embossing Buddy. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Snip with Paper Snips and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels that have been colored with a Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend.

Lemon Lime Twist and Gorgeous Grape make a perfect match. I love the Mini Ruffled Ribbon, available in the 2017-2019 In-Colors! It looks great just folded and tucked behind a focal point, as shown my card here.
Of course, I had to smooch my background, one of my favorite and most-used background techniques. Don’t know what the smooching technique is? You can download my step-by-step tutorial here: Smooching Technique

This time I used Shimmery White Cardstock for my floral and milk can images & watercolored them with an Aqua Painter and Stampin’ Up! Classic Inks. The trick for a great watercolor look is to add color in thin layers, allow it to dry completely and then add more color for depth and shading.
