Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals Blog Hop! This month’s theme is all about creating for the male room—those masculine cards we sometimes struggle with but always love to give.
For my project, I created a bold and playful Father’s Day card that’s perfect for the grill master in your life! This design combines rustic textures, classic patterns, and fun layered elements to create something both eye-catching and totally guy-approved.
The star of the show is the BBQ Master Bundle, featuring that adorable grill and accessories. I kept the stamping simple with a black-and-white image and added a pop of color to the flames for just the right amount of detail.
What makes this design especially fun for me is how much it reminds me of my Stampin’ Hoot! logo. My little owl sits perched on a flowering branch, surrounded by blossoms, and this card has that same whimsical “perched in the blossoms” feel. The branch and flowers almost look like the perfect place for my crafty owl to land, which makes this project feel extra on brand for Stampin’ Hoot.
The background really brings this card to life! The Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper (currently on the Last Chance List for only $7.50!) gives you that classic red and black plaid—perfect for a masculine vibe. If you’ve been eyeing this paper, now is definitely the time to grab it before it’s gone.
To anchor the design, I used the Party Banner Dies to create that fishtail layer, adding both structure and dimension. The sentiment is popped up for extra interest, and those little details—like the grilling tools and oven mitt—pull everything together beautifully.
Masculine cards don’t have to be boring—this layout is a fun way to add layers, texture, and personality while still keeping that strong, clean look.
