The Stamp Review Crew Brings You: Eastern Beauty Stamp Set
So I am a little obsessed with the New Stampin’ Blends and try to incorporate them into as many projects as I can….cause, let’s face it, I just can’t get enough of them! So when I grabbed the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set, I envisioned something that I could color…and so my card was born!
The focal point of my card uses three stamps from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set. Tip: Make sure to use Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and Whisper White Thick Cardstock when using Stampin’ Blends. I started with the flower petal-like image and then added the dots around the outside. Once that was complete, I grabbed the largest circle framelit die from Layering Circles pack and quickly cropped it out with the assistance of my Big Shot and Magnetic Platform. I decided that the inside of the petal-like image needed a little boost, so I added the additional image. You can see them in the product photo below.
I colored the focal point with the following Stampin’ Blends (from the middle of the image, out): Light Pumpkin Pie, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Pool Party, Dark Pool Party, Light Bermuda Bay, Dark Bermuda Bay, Light Calypso Coral, Dark Calypso Coral.
I used Bermuda Bay Cardstock as my base, cut to 4.25 in x 11 in and scored/folded at 5.5 in. I then layered Basic Black Cardstock cut 1/8 in smaller at 4 1/8 in x 5 3/8 in., adhering it to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I took Shimmery White Cardstock and added Bermuda Bay Ink using the Paper Smooching Technique. (Download the Tutorial Here). I added the focal point, laying Calypso Coral 1/8 in. Sheer Ribbon behind it, prior to adhering it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then stamped the two sentiments in Basic Black Archival Ink and added Black Rhinestone Jewels as a final touch.
