Welcome to my final Scrapbooking Global – Design Team – Blog Hop. This month’s theme is Holiday Happenings.

I decided to use the Merry Christmas Thinlits as they pair well with the Large Letters.

If you’d like to participate in our monthly challenge and hop, you can join in the fun via our Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group!

This scrapbook page is bittersweet.  On December 4th, 2018, just two weeks ago, my Mother-in-law, Karen, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.  Her celebration of life was held on December 16th and this is a photo that we had on display.  Karen is on the left, and her older sister, Bev, is on the right. They shared a room for the last two years and Bev (along with the rest of us) will miss her dearly.

At her celebration of life, we honored her with her love of snowman.  She had 100’s and loved them because they always had a smile on their face.  The suits wouldn’t have been more perfect for the occasion.

The Letters For You Photopolymer Stamp Set paired with the coordinating Large Letters Framelits Dies makes quick and easy scrapbook titles.  The Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies was the perfect font to finish the Merry Christmas title.  Only 2 weeks left to purchase it as a bundle and save 10%!

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop - Layout by Design Team Member Stesha Bloodhart. Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

I thought that the stamp sentiment from the Merry Christmas to All Photopolymer Bundle was perfect for this page.  With Bev in her “Bah Humbug” hat, which makes me chuckle, just gave that sentiment the perfect meaning.

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop - Layout by Design Team Member Stesha Bloodhart. Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

The Make a Difference Photopolymer Alphabet Stamp Set is so easy to use and allows you to customize any word you prefer.  Since this page represents sisters, I kept it simple and left it with one word.

Celebrate Amazing You Scrapbook Page for the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop October 2018 Scrapbook Page by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Welcome to the October 2018 Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. The Design Team and 15 others hop once a month. Every month we design a scrapbook page and share it with you. This month’s theme is Celebrate. If you’d like to participate in our monthly challenge and hop, you can join in the fun via our Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group!

Celebrate Amazing You Scrapbook Page for the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop October 2018 Scrapbook Page by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Start with a 12×12 sheet of Whisper White Cardstock.
  2. Use the following Stampin’ Write Markers to flick color onto the white canvas: Real Red, Blueberry Bushel, Garden Green, & Crumb Cake.
  3. First, create a balloon template using the Balloon Builder Punch and the all-new Stamparatus-sized Grid Paper. Utilizing the Stamparatus (stamp positioning tool), place the solid balloon stamps inside the template and grab them with a Stamparatus Acrylic Plate.  Remove the template and replace with cardstock. Add ink to the balloons and stamp onto Whisper White Cardstock.  Lay the lined images over the stamped balloons, grab with the other Stamparatus Acrylic Plate.  Stamp with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink.
  4.  Crop with the coordinating Balloon Builder Punch.  The balloons should align perfectly with the punch if you used the template stated above.
  5. Cut a piece of Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper to 10 3/4″ x 1 1/4″.  Flag the left end with the Banner Triple Punch.  Adhere with Snail Adhesive.
  6. Crop a piece of Best Route Designer Series Paper to 5″ x 1″.  Flag both ends with the Banner Triple Punch.  Snip in half with a Paper Snips and adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Adhere the cropped balloons as shown, alternating between Snail Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a couple “let us celebrate” balloon strings with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
  8. With a Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, crop the “Celebrate”, “Amazing”, “You” using Crumb Cake and Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies.
  9. Create the banner flags in the top right corner with the same Designer Series Paper and Banner Triple Punch, staggering the length and width as desired. Adhere with Snail Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Add additional wording using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and the alphabet from the Pick a Pennant Stamp Set.

My picture is a tad blurry but it definitely caught the moment of excitement!  We spent the evening at Mall of America for my son, Preston’s, 5th Birthday.  This picture was snapped right before he had his chance to drive the bumper cars.  I just love that smile and his bright blue eyes.  #proudmom

Celebrate Amazing You Scrapbook Page for the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop October 2018 Scrapbook Page by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

The Stamparatus is such a great tool, especially when you are using a builder punch.  All you have to do is make yourself a template out of scrap paper, or better yet, make one with the all-new Small Grid Paper, sized perfectly to fit on top of the Stamparatus Foam Mat. Stampin’ Up! just released new accessories for the Stamparatus…Grid Paper, Additional Foam Mats and Stamparatus Plates for those large, 2-step or more, projects. STAMPARATUS ACCESSORIES

I may have overdone it slightly on the balloons :), but I do love that splattered background created by flicking the tip of a Stampin’ Write Marker on the inside of its own cap!  So easy and it doesn’t hurt the markers.

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop – September 2018

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop September 2018 Theme Masculine, Layout created by Design Team Member Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

Welcome to the September Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. I am part of a talented ground of designers that have a passion for Scrapbooking using Stampin’ Up! products. This month’s theme is Masculine! If you’d like to participate in our monthly challenge and hop, you can join in the fun via our Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Start with a piece of 12×12 Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.
  2. Stamp various background images in Gray Granite Ink, keeping to the left and right edges.  I used stamps from the Gallery Grunge, Artisan Texture,  Winter Woods, and Touches of Texture Stamp Sets.
  3. Cut three 6″ strips and three 4″ strips of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim.  Shred the ends and adhere to the back of the photos (PHOTO SIZES:  Right 3 1/2″ Square, Left 2 1/4″ Square).
  4. Place Chicken Wire Elements, white side up, behind the photos and snip to size.  Adhere to the page with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the page title in Gray Granite onto Glossy White Cardstock using the Lined Alphabet Stamp Set.  Crop with the Big Shot and coordinating dies.  Snip remaining pieces to create individual letters. Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp additional title, in Gray Granite, using the Pick a Pennant Stamp Set.

As you can tell, I love, love, love (did I say love?) texture stamps. They add so much to a creation with very little effort.  Pair it with the Chicken Wire Elements (sorry, they were so popular they are currently set to not-orderable status until more product comes in) and you have a recipe for a great artistic creation!

The 3/16″ Braided Linen Thread is currently my favorite embellishment in the ribbon category.  You can leave it beautifully braided or you can separate for an artistic flair.  I sincerely hope it hangs around for a while as it will get its fair share of use in my craft room.

My dad was big into horses for most of his life.  Sparky, shown in the photo, was HIS first horse and they were the best of friends, circa 1964. When I was in the 3rd grade, we moved out to the country and got our first pony named Mud. Our family of horses grew from there as well as my father’s skills with caring for them.  He attended the Oklahoma School of Horseshoeing and became a sought-after farrier to the residents in and around our small town.

My father is who I inherited my artistic talents from.  He loved blacksmithing, woodworking and leather making.  His life was cut short and he left this world at the young age of 59.  I will forever be grateful for the time I had with him.  I have his farrier record book that has both his writing and mine in one place…I spent a summer helping him and it will be a summer that is forever held dear to my heart.

Creating pages showcasing him brings both joy and sorrow.  Sorrow for knowing I will never get to hug him again and joy knowing that he is at peace in heaven and I will always have my memories.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Use a piece of Whisper White 12×12 Cardstock as your canvas.
  2. Stamp “a cute” using the Lined Alphabet Stamp Set, Night of Navy Stampin’ Pad and Shimmery White Cardstock.  Add Lemon Lime Twist to the center of the letters using an Aqua Painter.  Note: Be careful not to touch the Night of Navy as it will bleed.  Crop with the Layering Alphabet Edgelits Dies and a Big Shot with a Magnetic Platform.  Snip the remaining attached portion with a Paper Snips.
  3. Stamp “THREAT” using the Letters For You Stamp Set in Night of Navy onto Shimmery White Cardstock.   Crop with the Large Letters Framelits Dies and a Big Shot with a Magnetic Platform.
  4. Adhere both with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Cut photos and a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2.  Use a Stampin’ Write Marker or Journaling Pen to add your journaling.
  6. I used a Pick a Pennant Stamp Set and Night of Navy Stampin’ Pad to create the title on my journaling block and Number * 5 above the top right photo (which was stamped on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cropped using the Everyday Label Punch).
  7. Crop two 1″ circles using the Circle Punch and Whisper White Cardstock. Using one as a template, draw the two baseball seams using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker. Freehand the stitches as shown.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This photo was taken during the first home game of the season with my newly acquired camera!  I was lucky enough to capture some pretty amazing shots of him preparing for his first at-bat!  I was so excited that this moment was captured and will forever be there to reminisce and remind us of how quickly time flies by!

Preston’s bat is Rawling’s Threat, hence the title I used for the page.  He is a little too cute to pose a threat, but he sure loves giving those pitchers the stink eye…I wonder if they chuckle like I do?

If you are a scrapbooker then you probably know that alphabet stamp sets are a very powerful tool!  I have several ready to be inked up and put to use.  I highly recommend adding what Stampin’ Up! has to offer to your arsenal of scrapbooking tools.

I added my own handwriting to my page (again)…I guess I should practice more to ensure consistency and neatness…I will improve as I go, but that is the fun of making memories!  I get to see how I improve over time, can’t wait to keep trying.

My boys make me smile every day!  I sure hope that my presentation of them makes you smile too…and motivates you to create memories in scrapbooks.

I am loving my new camera!  My hubby gave it to me as a combined anniversary, mother’s day, birthday gift.  The pictures on this page showcase some of the first photos taken.  I got the camera out and one boy decided to play dead and the other decided to play the conquerer. At first, I struggled with color, but then I just jumped on the new 2018-2020 InColors and I think it worked out pretty well!

I tend to shy away from journaling as I am not a big fan of my handwriting, but I force myself to do it! I NEVER write straight but I have learned to embrace it!  It is me, my style and I want my boys to remember all aspects of me.  Handwriting is a lost art…handwritten letters are practically extinct, replaced by an electronic text or post.  One of the most valued things my dad left behind was a handwritten poem…so, embrace it!  It means a lot to those you love!
