Little Elephant Bundle by Stampin' Up! Baby Card created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

The Little Elephant Bundle is perfect for Baby Cards! I love bundles with coordinating punches!  Quick and easy cropping is a plus for mass production or just turning out a quick card. The duo plaid elephants are so cute, don’t you think?

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. With a Stampin’ Trimmer, cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 11″.  Score and fold at 5 1/2″.
  2. Cut three pieces of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper to the following sizes: ONE: 3/4″ x 4 3/4″, TWO: 1/2″ x 4″, THREE: 3/4″ x 3″.
  3. Flag both ends of pieces ONE & TWO with the Banner Triple Punch.
  4. Stamp the plaid chunk in Soft Sea Foam Ink onto White Cardstock.  Trim with a Paper Snips. Adhere all four pieces as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Take the discarded flagged pieces from ONE & TWO, flag a piece of the navy designer series paper and adhere them to the top left corner as shown with Snail Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp the sentiment below the flagged ends in Night of Navy Ink.
  7. Use a Big Shot and the Stitched Shaped Circle Framelit to crop a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Stamp the elephants once in Night of Navy and another in Pool Party Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.  Crop the two Navy elephants in full and the Pool Party elephant ears with the coordinating Elephant Builder Punch.  Adhere the ears with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  9. Color the balloons with Night of Navy, Soft Sea Foam, and Pool Party Stampin’ Write Markers and stamp onto Whisper White Cardstock.  Trim with a Paper Snips. Adhere the balloon bouquet and elephants with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Add three Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with a Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend Marker for the final touch.

Tip for Punching a Perfect Image:  First create yourself a template by punching the elephants on a scrap piece of paper.  Then set the template on the Stamparatus plate and use the punched images to line up the elephant stamps.  Remove the template and replace with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  After stamping the images, they can be quickly lined-up and punched out with the coordinating Elephant Builder Punch.

The Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper sets the scene for color!  I coordinated the elephants and elements to match the colors within the paper.  Stampin’ Up! lists the coordinating colors for each Designer Series Paper Set.  Here are the colors from Twinkle Twinkle. Coordinating colors: Gray Granite, Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White

Accented Blooms Beautiful Hello Card

Accented Blooms Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! Hello Card by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

This was the first time I inked up the Accented Blooms Stamp Set and I LOVE it!  I created this card during my retreat back in October, so I went with fall-themed colors, do you like?  I think it would look just as beautiful in holiday colors such as Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, & Daffodil Delight!

Accented Blooms Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! Hello Card by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  2. Cut a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  3. Cut a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″.  Smooch with Soft Suede and Daffodil Delight Ink.  (See smooching instructions here)
  4. Create a notch at the top left with the Daisy Punch to hold the Linen Thread in place.  Wrap three loops and secure with a bow. Adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  6. Stamp the “Hello” sentiment in Soft Suede Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Blend with an Aqua Painter.  Crop with the Tailored Tag Punch.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Add 5 Rhinestone Basic Jewels, colored with the Bronze Stampin’ Blends Marker for the final touch!

One of my favorite techniques is embossing with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and watercolor in the image.  Having the lines embossed makes it so much easier to color the image and stay within the thin lines.

I love that we can color most all embellishments with our Stampin’ Blends to make them custom to match our creations.  I must say, I am kind of obsessed with coloring them.  It just makes them so versatile to have in any color I need.

Stampin’ Blends are my DOUBLE Hoot Loot for the month of November. Place an order of $50+ with my host code (right sidebar of my blog) and you receive TWO, yes TWO Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs of YOUR CHOICE! An $18 value!

Stamping on Watercolor paper is so much easier when using the Stamparatus.  It allows you to stamp the image multiple times for complete coverage, which can sometimes be tricky when stamping on Watercolor Paper.

I love mixing Bermuda Bay with Wood Texture!  If I had my way with decorating, my entire house would be some shade of teal with a dark wood!  My style is definitely reflected well in this card.  I also love rustic charm paired with a Northwoods feel (hence the use of the Buffalo Check stamp on so many recent creations).

I love mixing Pool Party and Bermuda Bay as a light and dark shade of teal on the flowers, it compliments the card so well.  The font in the Happy Birthday sentiment, part of the Botanical Bliss Stamp Set, is so lovely and perfect for this card. Flagging the end with the Banner Triple Punch (my most loved punch) adds just the right touch.

Follow Your Dreams Bundle Parade of Cards

Today I decided to take a break away from the 2018 Holiday Catalog and take a stroll back to the Annual Catalog, showcasing one of my favorites:  Follow Your Dreams Bundle.  These are the creations I made for the InkBig Academy Design Team.  So, let us take a stroll and gain some inspiration for a set that is at the top of my list!

Follow Your Dreams Bundle by Stampin' Up! Cards created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

The Follow Your Dreams Bundle pairs well with the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, as well as Vellum Cardstock.  Add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and you have a stellar card to give a friend that is following their dreams.

Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper

Use the dream catcher stamp to create your own personalized background! Stamp directly on Designer Series Paper for a subtle addition to your sentiment.

Follow Your Dreams Bundle by Stampin' Up! Cards created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

Stamp on Vellum and then adhere over the top of the Designer Series Paper for a soft look.  Vellum does so much to soften a card…I should really use it more often.

Follow Your Dreams Bundle by Stampin' Up!

The Follow Your Dreams Bundle has some fabulous dies to step-up any creation.  The feather is one of my favorites.

Follow Your Dreams Bundle by Stampin' Up! Cards created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

I paired the Follow Your Dreams Bundle with the Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I then colored the dots with Stampin’ Blends to match the card. Tuck a bit of ribbon behind the top layer for an added touch.

Use the dies to create a peekaboo background.  I love the way Lemon Lime Twist pairs so well with so many neutral colors.  Be sure to pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

WWYS186 Challenge – Waterfront Stamp Set

What Will You Stamp!

I was so excited to find out that my card was picked as a winner for the Blended Seasons What Will You Stamp Challenge.  By being chosen as a winner, I was asked to be a guest designer for this week’s challenge of Waterfront!

So, what do you think?  Do you like the background I created?  It was inspired by the Northern Lights :).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. With a Stampin’ Trimmer, cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock to 6 1/4″ x 8″.  Score and fold at 4″.
  2. Cut a piece of Watercolor Paper to 3 1/2″.  Wet the entire piece with water from an Aqua Painter.  Add the following colors with a slanted stroke:  Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy, Lovely Lipstick, Blackberry Bliss.
  3. Fill a Stampin’ Spritzer with several drops of Whisper White Ink Refill and Water.  Spray onto the Northern Lights Background to make it look like snow.
  4. Stamp the mountains and trees multiple times in Jet Black Stazon onto Shimmery White Cardstock.  Snip out with Paper Snips.  Arrange as shown and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the sentiments in Versamark onto Basic Black Cardstock. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, remove excess and set with a Heat Tool.  Snip with a Paper Snips and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The trees and mountains from the Waterfront Stamp Set were stamped in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock, then snipped out with a Paper Snips.  I added dimension by offsetting the mountains and trees, then adhering them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love that layered look!
